Installing MouseViz

Download

Head to the download page to get the latest version of MouseViz.

Installation

1. Open the downloaded .dmg file.
2. Drag MouseViz into your Applications folder.
3. Launch MouseViz from Applications or Spotlight.

On first launch, macOS may show a security prompt since MouseViz is distributed outside the Mac App Store. Click Open to continue.

First Launch

When you open MouseViz for the first time:

1. You'll be guided through granting Accessibility and Screen Recording permissions.
2. A 7-day Pro trial starts automatically — full access to all features.
3. MouseViz appears in your menu bar as a tray icon.

Updating

MouseViz checks for updates automatically using Sparkle with ED25519 signature verification. When a new version is available, you'll see an update prompt. Pro and Team licenses include 1 year of free updates.

Uninstalling

Drag MouseViz from your Applications folder to the Trash. Session data is stored in ~/Library/Application Support/MouseViz/ — remove this folder to fully clean up.
