Click pulse animations, clustering analysis, and first-click tracking.
Click Pulses
MouseViz displays animated ripple effects at each click location during recording. Each click type has a distinct visual:
- Left click — Primary interaction pulse
- Right click — Context menu pulse
- Double click — Selection pulse
Click pulses are available in the Free tier.
Click Clustering
ProMouseViz uses K-means clustering with automatic K selection to group nearby clicks into clusters. This reveals interaction hotspots and helps identify which UI elements receive the most engagement.
First-Click Analysis
ProTracks where the first click lands for each task in a study. Includes a scatter metric showing how spread out participants' first clicks are — a tight cluster means the target is discoverable, a wide spread suggests confusion.
Rage Click Detection
ProDetects rapid repeated clicking in the same area, a pattern that signals user frustration. The threshold is configurable in settings. Rage clicks are flagged on the timeline and highlighted in visualizations.
Areas of Interest
ProDraw rectangular regions on screen to define Areas of Interest (AOIs). MouseViz then calculates per-AOI metrics including click count, dwell time, and entry frequency.
