Playing Back a Session

Open a completed recording session.
Click the Play button to start playback.
Watch the cursor move across the screen with all visualization layers active.

Playback renders at 60fps for smooth, accurate reproduction of cursor movement.

Playback Controls

Play / Pause — Start or pause playback
Speed — Adjust playback speed: 0.5x, 1x, or 2x
Timeline scrubbing — Drag the playhead to jump to any timestamp

Progressive Heatmap Buildup

During playback, the heatmap builds up progressively — you can watch the heat accumulate over time, which shows how attention shifts during a session.

Session Comparison

Pro

Compare two sessions side by side or overlaid on top of each other:

Side-by-side — Two sessions displayed next to each other
Overlay mode — Heatmaps from both sessions composited together

Session Diffing

Pro

Compare sessions to measure improvement between design iterations:

Green areas indicate less confusion in the newer session
Red areas indicate more confusion
An improvement score quantifies the difference

Scroll Depth Visualization

Pro

Shows how far users scrolled on a page, with direction-change detection to identify where they reversed scroll direction.
