Diagnostic Info

Collect diagnostic information for bug reports and support requests.

When to Use

If you're experiencing issues with MouseViz, collecting diagnostic info helps the support team troubleshoot faster.

How to Access

Go to Settings > About and click Share Diagnostics. This copies a report to your clipboard that you can paste into an email or support ticket.

What's Included

The diagnostic report contains:

  • MouseViz version and build number
  • macOS version and hardware info (chip, memory)
  • Permission status (Accessibility and Screen Recording)
  • Current app state (recording status, active visualization modes, paused state)
  • License and trial status (tier, trial days remaining)
  • Key settings (auto-save, countdown, preview, visualization modes)
  • Recent error logs

It does not include recorded session data, personal files, or keystroke content.

Sending to Support

Include your diagnostic info when contacting support@mouseviz.com. You can also describe the issue on the feedback board.

When reporting a bug, include:

  1. What you were doing when the issue occurred
  2. What you expected to happen
  3. What actually happened
  4. Your diagnostic info
